There she treated patients who suffered from neuromuscular disorders and traumatic brain injury. Citta returned to this area where she became a Clinical Assistant Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, PA. Citta was also a Clinical Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland – a position she continues to hold today. She was instrumental in advocating for the rights of disabled children and their families in Cleveland, Ohio, through the PEACE (People Empowered Against Child Endangerment) Program. Citta took the position as Director of the Program of Pediatric Rehabilitation, Health Hill Hospital for Children (now the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital). DuPont Hospital for Children, Wilmington, Delaware. She furthered her education with subspecialty fellowship training in Pediatric Rehabilitation at The A.I. In 1990 she completed a Residency Program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Temple University Hospital. She interned at The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Citta graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1986. Thereafter, she designed and implemented a program of fitness for the elderly, which was incorporated into area nursing homes and senior centers.ĭr. Following her passion for Sports Medicine, she completed a Masters Program in Exercise Physiology at Temple University.
